Metalworking Fluids Additives
Tailor-Made and selected additives for the formulation of concentrates for metalworking fluids and industrial lubricants.
Additive Packages for Metalworking Fluids
We develope additive packages for use in the production of metalworking fluids for watermiscible and watersoluble metalworking coolants.
Generally a metalworking coolant can be easily made by blending an emulsifier package with base oil.
Depending on the end use, water, EP/AW support, biocide and yellow metal inhibitor can be added.
EP and AW Performance Additives
EP additives (Extreme Pressure), due to their chemical structure, prevent direct contact between tool and workpiece and so prevent damage to the workpiece through reaction with the metal surface.
AW (Anti-Wear) additives reduce friction between metal surfaces moving against each other by forming phosphorus and sulfur compounds with the metal ions (e.g. iron) of the material surfaces.
Corrosion Inhibitors
Our corrosion inhibitors form a thin, protective film that acts as a barrier against corrosive substances.
Whether it is exposure to process water or environmental influences, anti-corrosion chemicals are used in many areas to protect workpieces or end products against rust.
Synthetic and Natural Sulfonates (Na-, Ba-, Ca- and Amine Soaps)
Synthetic and natural Sodium Sulfonates. Heavy Sodium sulfonates are often key raw materials of many formulations of metalworking fluids. They function as corrosion inhibitors or emulsifiers.
Defoamers
Our defoamers are characterized by a high degree of customization. Every production process is different with regards to temperature, pH-value, substances and product requirements.
Special Esters and Soaps
Biodegradable fluids belong to this group of products, which combine excellent hydrolytic stability, outstanding wetting- and good lubrication properties. This gives our esters a leading edge over other products for the formulation of fluids used in the metal industry.
